A professor of Control and Systems Engineering at the Technology University of Ilmenau, Germany. Pu Li received his M.Eng degree from Zhejiang University, China, in 1989 and his Ph.D. degree from Technology University of Berlin, Germany, in 1998. He was a senior researcher at TU Berlin from 1998 to 2005. Now he is a Full Professor at the Ilmenau University of Technology and chair of the Processes Optimization Group at the Institute for Automation and Systems Engineering of TU Ilmenau. His research interests include process systems engineering, i.e. modeling, simulation, optimization, and control of industrial processes. In particular, novel approaches to dynamic optimization, stochastic optimization, and online optimization have been developed and applied to various industrial processes, autonomous vehicles, and sustainability systems by his research group.
